Night Owl Festival – a two day cultural fest brings together shopping, sumptuous food, and soulful Sufi music at The Courtyard, DLF Place, Saket. As the name suggests, the event started in the evening, and went on till midnight, saving us from the scorching heat of this Delhi summer!
There were various food outlets that set up their stalls at the event, ranging from Bombay Food Factory, Zizo, Hunger Strike to 24-7, Dunkin Donuts, and others. To beat the heat, we tried some refreshing mocktails and some amazing desserts. The pick of the outlets was the Turquoise Turkish Ice Cream, not for the ice cream, but instead for the way they served us the ice cream, hah! They literally made us “scream” for ice cream, with their amazing technique. The blue lagoon smoking mocktail by Bombay Food Factory is one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever had. Perfect summer drink!
For desserts, we tried the chocolate churros and the choco caramel jar cake at Le Péche. The choco caramel cake was so delicious, that we ended up ordering it again. A perfect mixture of both chocolate and caramel, it’s a delight for all the dessert lovers.
The event was perfectly set up with great lighting doing proper justice to the theme of the festival. The band played lovely Sufi songs, which just added charm to the whole fest and kept the crowd going.
